OUR PASTOR
Our Pastor is a man of Vision and moves to the beat of a different drummer. The very name of our ministry “Winds of Change” speaks volumes to that beat. He received the gift of the Spirit of God and Salvation at the age of 17 in Greater Love, Church Of God In Christ, where the Pastor was Charles J. Brantley. Six years later, he received the call to the Ministry at the age of 23. He diligently served as Youth Leader, President of the Board of Trustees, Computer Systems Analyst and 1st Administrative Assistant to the Pastor. In June of 1997 Pastor Brantley recommended him to the Western Florida Jurisdictional Bishop, the Late Bishop E.L. Sheppard, for ordination as an Elder in the Churches of God In Christ.
After Ordination, he continued to serve for the next 3 years as an Administrative Assistant, and as Sunday School Teacher to the Adult Men's class, and New Members class, touching on a wide variety of biblical subjects. After 15 years of service, he received instructions from the Lord to move to North Carolina in the year 2000. There he joined Abundant Life Christian Center, in Raleigh, NC, in January of 2001, where he served in several capacities; Director of Ministerial Staff, Chairman, Council of Elders and Ministers, Administrative Assistant, and Adjutant to now Bishop Stenneth E. Powell, Sr.
While attending and serving, he found the bride of his youth, Sis. Queena "Neicy" Singletary Green. They have been blessed to have two jubilant children, Zariel and Zakari Green.
After faithfully serving for 11 years, Pastor Powell laid hands on Pastor Green and released him to start the work the Lord had placed upon his heart. George N. Green is the Founder and Pastor of Winds of Change Church Fellowship founded in March of 2012.
Pastor Green completely believes in the Word in Psalms 127:1 “Unless the LORD builds the house, They labor in vain who build it; Unless the LORD guards the city, The watchman stays awake in vain.” Under the leadership and tutelage of Pastor Green, we see God doing great things in the city of Raleigh and the surrounding communities through Winds of Change Church Fellowship!
OUR FIRST LADY
First Lady Queena Green, serves in several capacities at Winds of Change Church Fellowship. First and foremost, she is a woman of God who strives to uphold the dictates of the Word of God and exemplify Christ to all she touches. She supports and upholds the arms of her husband and Pastor, George N. Green while assisting with rearing their children and providing a nurturing home. First Lady Green considers it a privilege to serve the members of Winds of Change, surrounding communities and God’s people everywhere.
Lady Green has a passion for encouraging, uplifting and equipping women and young ladies with spiritual tools to help them be victorious in all walks of life. Her mission for the women of Winds of Change is 3-fold:
1. To strengthen women in our local church and surrounding communities through the essence of Prayer. “And he spake a parable unto them to this end, that men ought always to pray, and not to faint;” (Luke 18:1)
2. To help women better understand their worth in the eyes of God and the Power He has given us to overcome the trials and temptations that life will present. “For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of Power, and of love, and of a sound mind.” (2Timothy 2:7)
3. Equip women to fulfill their Purpose in God’s kingdom. As women, we have a myriad of roles and responsibilities in our personal lives as well as the lives of our loved ones. We often perform these roles without really understanding our worth and how we contribute to God’s Kindgom. We want to teach women to be Proverbs 31 women in all that we do.
As a servant of the Lord, she embraces every opportunity to serve God and His people in the spirit of excellence.
