OUR MINISTRIES
At Winds of Change (affectionately called WOC) we believe in serving the whole man. In Matthew 15:32, Jesus showed compassion on the people, indicating they had been with him a few days and have nothing to eat. He did not want to send them away hungry, for they may faint along the way. We do not want to send the people away hungry naturally and spiritually at WOC. With that in mind, here are a few of our ministries, designed especially for you :)
Intercessory Prayer
James 5:16 lets us know that prayer for one another is key for healing. WOC offers prayer time on Wednesday evening @ 6:30pm weekly. This is a great time to come and commune with God, show your love towards one another, and wash away the cares of this world.
Men's Ministry
(Men on the M.O.V.E) Men of Valor and Excellence
At the WOC, we will strive to educate men on where their true standing is in God, to be sure of themselves as sons of the king are, without hesitation to lead their families in the direction that God has set for them since the beginning. We will look to have men understand what it means to serve the Lord in the spirit of excellence, as the priest of their homes. We will also teach the men to work together, that we are “better together” and can conquer anything that comes before us. We will be men that will protect our homes, our families and our spirit by continued and consistent growth in God, and by being accountable to each other. That is Men on the M.O.V.E. – Men of Vision and Excellence!
Women's Ministry
(WP3 - Women of Prayer, Power, and Purpose)
Indeed the women of the WOC will be educated in the ways of the Lord, and how to become women that personify the Proverbs 31 narrative. The WOC will lay the correct path of destiny at the feet of the women of this church, and using the Word of God as a perfect guide, enabling them to feel strong in prayer, imparting the full knowledge of the power they have as provided by God, and to walk into the purpose that God has specifically designed for them! That is WP3 – Women of Prayer, Power, and Purpose!
Youth Ministry
(Y4C - Youth 4 Christ)
Youth 4 Christ is a program designed to capture the youth of today, letting them know the importance of their soul being saved and living a life dedicated to Christ. In decades past there were good intentions directed towards saving the youth, however the prism through which the youth saw a relationship with Christ was one that presented discouragement, removed “fun”, and presented a picture that was not attractive to young people being encouraged to have a relationship with the Lord. At the WOC our mandate is one that has rang out over the years – “winning the lost at all cost!”
Praise & Worship
St. John 4:23 – “But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him.”
Psalm 22:3 – “But thou art holy, O thou that inhabitest the praises of Israel.”
True worship begins with a deep respect or reverence for God, a frame of heart, an attitude. This must be fixed in one's mind before true worship can begin. An "act" of worship is an act proceeding from or the result of that attitude. Music plays a great role in the ministry of praise and worship. It is through the angel of light Lucifer, made from glorious pipes and timbels, that when he played, all of Heaven would bow. He allowed sin to enter into him that he could dethrone God, and he was cast out of Heaven, and one-third of the angels with him. Now, we have taken Lucifer’s place as praise and worship instruments, following the Westminster catechism “the chief end of man is to Glorify God and to enjoy Him” taken from various scriptures, including 1 Corinthians 6:20 and 10:31.

Community Outreach
At the WOC, our heartbeat is in reaching out to the community to assist where we can. Our Ministry has been involved in feeding the less fortunate, executing a coat drive in the winter to help those trapped by winter's bite, and placing ourselves in a mode of service.
